Welcome 5C parents,
The more I learn from you, the better we can help your child grow this year. To reach me, click on my photo to the left.
My email address is --
Please contact me with any questions or information you have that will help me better understand your child. You, or your child, may also call my cell phone number at any time, 970-397-7334. I am involved in many school and district committees, before and after school. Know that if I am unable to answer your call directly, I will return a call to you before the end of my day. You can also phone the main line at school, 970-613-5900.
We can always use your help in 5C. Please join our class by helping out in any way that works best for your interest and time schedule. You can join us on a regular schedule, with a specific task planned ahead, or simply drop in on 5C when you are in the area. Either way, we always need you!
Please visit the Volunteer link on this site to learn how to volunteer. There is a one time registration, so if you have already done it , you are good to go!
This is my 26th year with the Thompson School District. Previously, I taught 4th grade at our school for 10 years.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I worked both as a print and broadcast journalist in earlier years before shifting to education and teaching.
I am passionate about learning, teaching, and the field of education. I am also very involved in education at both the school and district level. Feel free to call me with any questions you have, but also know that I am usually in meetings both before and after school either at Cottonwood or another building. You can leave a message if I can not answer and I will return your call or text within 24 hours - and usually much sooner (970-397-7334).
Colorado is the perfect state for me. You might run into me on one of our many trails hiking, biking, or running. To cool down and rebalance during the spring, summer, and fall, my hands are in the dirt caring for a diverse garden of veggies and herbs.
As we move through this new school year, I am anxious to learn all about you and your family. Welcome to the new school year at Cottonwood Plains Elementary School. I am excited to begin building a relationship with you that will help support your child in his or her optimal growth!
